Ruiz Found Innocent On Murder, Manslaughter Charges
MAYVILLE — A Dunkirk woman has been found not guilty of second-degree murder and the lesser charge of second-degree manslaughter in the July 2017 shooting of Julian Duman.
A Chautauqua County jury returned the verdict against Rebecca Ruiz after only a few hours of deliberation Friday. Ruiz was found guilty of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She faces a minimum of three and a half years and maximum of 15 years in prison on the weapon possession charge when sentenced.
