Officials Escort Deputy Seeley’s Body Back To Jamestown

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office cruisers began escorting the hearse carrying deputy Michael Seeley, 44, near I-86 in Findley Lake Monday afternoon. Seeley, who gained widespread praise in 2013 for helping to save the life of a man and known for his career in emergency services, died Friday night at the Cleveland Clinic following a brief battle with leukemia. The funeral for deputy Seeley will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel K. Nagle, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville, N.Y. Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m., Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.
