Man Flown To Hospital Following Crash In Busti

A man was flown to a nearby hospital after crashing Friday evening in the town of Busti.

Firefighters were notified of a motor vehicle accident with an unresponsive male around 5 p.m. on Busti-Sugar Grove Road. The driver, who was not identified Friday, reportedly struck a sign on Busti-Stillwater Road before crashing into a ditch.

The driver was unresponsive when first responders arrived but was breathing. A passing motorist said she saw the driver swerve across Busti-Sugar Grove Road before driving into the ditch.

The driver was taken by ambulance to the Busti Fire Department where he was loaded into a helicopter and taken to a Buffalo hospital.

No further information was available.

Firefighters were assisted by ALSTAR EMS and the Lakewood-Busti Police Department.
