Sampson Street Drug Bust Nets Two

Police raided a Sampson Street home Friday morning, charging two residents and seizing nearly 160 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine.

At 5:25 a.m., investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, New York State Police CNET and agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at 10 Sampson St.

Inside, police reportedly seized 130 grams of cocaine and 25 grams of crack cocaine, along with cash, drug paraphernalia and a set of brass knuckles.

The residents, 38-year-old Odessin M. McBride and Ashley R. Mcbride, 33, were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, an A-2 felony; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a B felony; and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

They were also charged with endangering the welfare of a child since their 4-year-old child was in the house.

Both are currently in the Jamestown City Jail and awaiting arraignment.

Police said an investigation is continuing and more charges are expected. The Jamestown Police SWAT team assisted in the entry of the home.

In connection to the drug raid, police said several other locations in the city were searched Friday morning, including Ring It Wireless, a cellphone shop located at 406 W. Third St.

Odessin McBride, a Brooklyn native, is the business owner.
