City Teen Found With Marijuana, Cash In Morning Raid

A Jamestown teenager was awaiting arraignment after police found marijuana and cash during a morning drug bust Wednesday.

Armando R. Jenks, 19, was taken into custody after the raid at an upper apartment at 839 Prendergast Ave. Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team executed the search warrant around 5:20 a.m.

With the assistance of the Jamestown SWAT team, Jenks was located inside the attic apartment along with 13.8 ounces of marijuana, $6,700 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Investigators also received assistance Wednesday from the police department’s K-9 unit, State Police and Lakewood-Busti Police Department.

Specific charges relating to the execution of the search warrant weren’t released.
