Three Charged In Two Drug Busts On Thursday
Three Jamestown residents have been charged as part of a large methamphetamine seizure on Thursday on Newland Avenue near Sampson Street.
Police report Beau K.C. Jones, 32, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Matt S. Jones, 30, and Steven D. Crowl, 20, were both was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Police report pulling over a vehicle driven by Beau Jones because he was suspected to be an unlicensed driver. Further investigation showed a suspicious package in plain view in the vehicle. A State Police K-9 unit responded and alerted on the vehicle and the package . Police then obtained a search warrant for the package, which was reportedly found to contain 17.9 ounces of crystal methamphetamine.
Further investigation led investigators to pull over a vehicle occupied by Crowl and Matthew Jones. A search of the second vehicle reportedly revealed a safe in the vehicle. Another search warrant was obtained and officers report finding 2.9 ounces of additional crystal methamphetamine that was packaged for sale.
Police are continuing their investigation and additional charges are expected.

This is the third drug-related incident in the past three years for Beau Jones, who was charged in October 2014 with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A2 felony, and third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, a class D felony, after a drug bust on Forest Avenue and again in February 2015 after a bust at 242 McKinley Ave.
