Salamanca Man Charged For TitanX Fire

A Salamanca man linked to the Dec. 1 structure fire at TitanX Engine Cooling Inc. in Falconer, has been charged and jailed.

According to Ellicott police, 23-year-old Michael J. Rucker was reportedly seen fleeing the TitanX building, located at 2258 Allen St. Ext., the night of the fire.

Police apprehended him a short distance away, and after an investigation, charged him with second-degree arson and obstructing governmental administration.

Rucker was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

During the investigation, it was found that several fires had been set inside the building. No injuries were reported.

The Falconer Fire Department responded to the scene and was assisted by the Jamestown Fire Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
