Salamanca Man Charged After “Sexting,” Sexual Contact With Minors
A 21-year-old Salamanca man is being accused of rape for allegedly sending sexually explicit messages to a group of underage girls and having sexual contact with them.
On Thursday, investigators with the Cattaraugus County Criminal Investigations Bureau reported that Jarron Anthony Ball was allegedly using the social media application “Snap Chat” to communicate sexually explicit messages to underage girls.
Communications reportedly led to inappropriate physical sexual contact between Ball and some of the girls, police said.
Ball was charged with two counts of first-degree disseminating indecent material to minors, a felony; third-degree rape, a felony; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
Police said the investigation, which has been ongoing for the past month, is expected to continue. Further charges may be filed.
