VILLENOVA — A Forestville man is facing animal cruelty charges after Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies found two horses dead in a barn in the town of Villenova.
Deputies were called Tuesday to the barn on Smith Road for a report of two dead animals and later located the horses.
The owner, 48-year-old Jeffrey W. Wolfe, was charged with two counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals and failure to provide sustenance, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Wolfe is scheduled to appear in Villenova Town Court at a later date.
