Sherman Man Charged After Showing Girl ‘Inappropriate Picture’
SHERMAN — A Sherman man was charged after state police said he lured a 10-year-old girl to his apartment and showed her an inappropriate picture.
On Wednesday, a search warrant was executed at the Sherman residence of 65-year-old Peter Baker. There, state police reportedly discovered images of child pornography.
Police had received a complaint from the parent of a 10-year-old girl that Baker allegedly lured her to his apartment by offering her $20. Instead, troopers said Baker showed her an “inappropriate picture on his phone.”
Baker went to police barracks in Jamestown with his attorney, Phillip Cala, and was processed on charges of possession a sexual performance by a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
Cala could not be reached Friday for comment.
Baker is scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court next month, state police said.
