City Woman Charged After Meth Found In Apartment

A Jamestown woman was charged after methamphetamine and prescription medication were found in her apartment during a search by police Monday.

Amanda C. Spitale, 27, was charged with fifth- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia after a search warrant was executed at her apartment at 111 E. Eighth St. in Jamestown. The search was conducted around 4 p.m. by members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, SWAT team, State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and city police investigators.

During their search, police reportedly found methamphetamine, suboxone and drug paraphernalia items used to sell and distribute controlled substances, Jamestown police said in a press release Tuesday.

Spitale was taken into custody and held for arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
