(UPDATE 12:40 p.m.) Missing Child Alerts Canceled
Two “Missing Child Alert” issued for two infants who went missing this morning in Salamanca has been canceled.
The alert, issued through the state’s emergency notification system, came from the City of Salamanca Police Department. Police said Londyn Richardson, about a month old, and Malani Ventura, a 3-month-old, were reportedly last seen on East State Street in Salamanca around 6:30 a.m.
At the time of the alerts, both were considered to be endangered, police said. The infants were both with their mothers, Keshauna Boggs and Selena Ventura.
The state issues Missing Child Alerts when children are believed to be endangered. Unlike Amber Alerts that remain for in effect for seven hours, Missing Child Alerts can remain active for 72 hours.
