City Christmas Tree Arrives In Tracy Plaza

The City of Jamestown’s Christmas Tree was delivered on time, thanks to a team effort by a variety of city and private services. The tree was harvested by a Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department crew out of Bergman Park at about 8:30 a.m. Monday morning and was delivered at about 10 a.m. on a trailer donated by Lake Shore Paving and was accompanied by a Jamestown Police Department escort. When the tree arrived at Tracy Plaza, it was raised with the assistance of a crane from the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities. The tree is a White Spruce tree that is over 40 feet tall.
