CRCF Appoints Diethrick As COO

The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation board recently appointed June Diethrick as the organization’s chief operating officer.

Since being hired by the foundation in 2002, she has held various administrative positions. Most recently, Diethrick served as operations officer, working closely with executive director Randy Sweeney to maintain the foundation’s Certificate of Accreditation, which demonstrates compliance with the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations.

A graduate of Jamestown Business College, Diethrick continued her education at Jamestown Community College and the University of Denver. She earned certification through Westinghouse Corporate Training in Marketing, Finance, Technology, Interactive Management and Human Resources.

Diethrick holds many honors, including Westinghouse honoree for Customer Service and Community Service – Northeastern Division; City of Jamestown Mayoral Appointment; Jamestown Business College Hall of Fame; and Woman of the Year (2005). Her community involvement includes Marvin House, president; Interclub Council; Zonta Club; and Babe Ruth World Series, committee member.

Diethrick lives in Jamestown with her husband Russ and array of family pets.

Prior to joining the foundation, Diethrick gained experience in all aspects of business while working in the cable television and manufacturing industries.

In the newly created position, Diethrick will continue to work closely with the organization’s new executive director, Tory Irgang, who started Monday. Diethrick will be responsible for implementing the foundation’s mission statement and strategic plan, including the ongoing development of its goals and objectives.

“June is an integral part of the Foundation team and knows the organization, as well as, this community, inside and out,” said Don Butler, foundation board president. “She will be an important asset to Tory as she begins this new role.”

Irgang will also be working closely with Sweeney until his retirement at the end of the year.

An informal open house to welcome Irgang is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 9, from 3-6 p.m. at the foundation.
