Frewsburg Man Accused Of Neglecting Dogs

A Frewsburg man has been taken into custody for not properly caring for his dogs.

According to State Police, on Wednesday, troopers charged 26-year-old Thomas C. Wallace with two counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals/failure to provide proper sustenance.

The troopers responded following a tip that dogs under Wallace’s care were locked in a trailer and neglected. According to police, the trailer had no electricity or ventilation and the dogs didn’t have access to regular food or water.

Two puppies, which were secured in a small wooden pen with no light, were weak due to an apparent skin condition.

Wallace was taken into custody, processed at State Police barracks in Jamestown and released with appearance tickets. He will appear in Carroll Town Court at a later date.

The dogs were removed from the trailer by the Dog Control Officer and the puppies were taken to the SPCA to be examined by a veterinarian.
