Champion Acapella Groups To Perform Sunday

Parkside Harmony

CHAUTAUQUA — Four champion groups will parade across the Chautauqua Amphitheater to perform popular songs from all eras in a classic, four-part acappella style.

The show is planned for Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

“We are very fortunate to have assembled such a diverse and accomplished pool of talent for this year’s show,” said Peter Frank, a member of the committee producing the show. “It has been many years since our regular audience has enjoyed performers of this caliber.”

This year’s featured acts include:

¯ Parkside Harmony, a 50-man chorus from Hershey, Pa. Parkside Harmony has been Barbershop Harmony Society District Champions and ranked fifth at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Chorus Contest in 2017. For more information, visit parksideharmony.org.

Epic

¯ Pratt Street Power, a male quartet from Baltimore that has been named Barbershop Harmony Society International Youth Quartet Champions and ranked 18th at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Quartet Contest in 2017. For more information, visit facebook.com/prattstreetpower.

¯ Epic, a female quartet from Virginia and Maryland that has been named the Harmony Inc. Harmony Queens, an international championship award. For more information, visit epicquartet.com.
