Buffalo Woman Facing DWI Charges After Head-On Collision
A Buffalo woman with a history of driving while intoxicated is now facing a felony charge for allegedly driving drunk in Frewsburg and crashing into a vehicle.
On Aug. 10, an investigation by the New York State Police and Carroll Police Department revealed that 26-year-old Megan Swan, in an intoxicated state, allegedly drove into the path of a vehicle heading in the opposite direction on Frew Run Road.
Swan suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to UPMC Chautauqua WCA. The occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured.
Upon her release from the hospital on Aug. 14, Swan was charged with felony DWI, first-degree aggrvated unlicensed operation and reckless driving.
Swan’s driving record revealed a DWI conviction within the last 10 years. Her license was also suspended for reportedly driving while ability impaired by drugs.
Swan is scheduled to appear in Carroll Court on a later date.
