Tuesday Morning Drug Raid Sends Three To City Jail

Three city residents are facing a handful of drug-related charges following an early morning raid Tuesday.

Jamestown police, led by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, executed two search warrants around 6 a.m. Jamestown Police SWAT Team members and the New York State Police K-9 unit assisted in entries of the basement at 23 Barrows St. and the lower apartment of 473 Crescent St.

Teela Nicholas, 30, of Barrows Street was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after police found her in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana. Anthony Camarata, 32, and Ashley Havle, 24, of Crescent Street were both charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, using drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child. Upon inspection of the residence, police located 16 grams of crystal methamphetamine and drug packaging materials. A small child was also found to be living in “substandard” living conditions.

All three suspects are in city jail awaiting arraignment.
