Frewsburg BOE To Approve New Superintendent

Frewsburg Central School District will soon welcome a new face to its administration.

According to the agenda for a special board meeting to be held tonight, a resolution is on the table to approve Shelly O’Boyle as the district’s new superintendent. O’Boyle is currently the coordinator of curriculum and instruction at Southwestern Central School District.

The resolution states her term of employment will begin on March 6 and will run through June 30, 2020. The salary for the position for 2016-17 is listed as $130,000, which will be prorated.

O’Boyle’s appointment to the position depends on the vote of the board, as well as her acceptance of the position.

The previous superintendent, Danielle O’Connor, announced in July of last year, she accepted another position as the assistant superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at Erie-2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES. She began as superintendent at Frewsburg in 2011.

“I have truly enjoyed my time in Frewsburg and I will look back on my experiences with fondness,” O’Connor said. “Frewsburg is a very special place and I wish to thank you for all of your kindness and generosity throughout the years.”

The board meeting is scheduled to be be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the middle/high school library.
