Cherry Creek Accident Leads To Charges

CHERRY CREEK — A motor vehicle accident in the town of Cherry Creek resulted in charges against a Conewango Valley man on Wednesday.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Milestrip Road in Cherry Creek for the report of a car accident just after 6:30 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred when a vehicle operated by 36-year-old Justin Raynor, of Conewango Valley, slid into a guard rail while attempting to stop.

Raynor and three passengers sustained minor injuries. All vehicle occupants were transported to the hospital via ambulance.

Through investigation, deputies later discovered an order of protection was issued between Raynor and one of the passengers in the vehicle. Raynor was charged with unsafe tire and second-degree criminal contempt.

Raynor was issued tickets and will answer the charges in Cherry Creek Town Court.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Cherry Creek Fire Department, South Dayton Fire Department and Alstar Ambulance.
