SHERIDAN — Two women were allegedly found drunk and without driver’s licenses Tuesday following a one-vehicle accident in Sheridan.

At 8:30 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle off the road along Route 5. Upon arrival, they found 38-year-old Caroline C. Persons of Cheektowaga behind the wheel, where she was allegedly intoxicated and had a revoked driver’s license. She also reportedly had a small amount of marijuana.

Police also determined that a passenger, 40-year-old Maureen E. Bienko of Angola, had also driven the vehicle while allegedly intoxicated.

A record check showed that Bienko had a revoked driver’s license and four prior convictions for DWI, making this arrest a felony.

Persons was charged with DWI, DWI per se, first-degree unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana. She was given appearance tickets for Sheridan Court.

Bienko was charged with felony DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and refusal to take a pre-breath test. She was arraigned in Sheridan Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
