Local, National Acts To Perform At Arena Friday

A handful of local hip-hop acts, along with a nationally touring artist, will hit the spotlight in downtown Jamestown.

On Friday, House of Notes and 7:30 Entertainment will present the “Rust Belt Revival” at 9 p.m. — featuring a wide array of the best original talent the Jamestown and Dunkirk areas, and award-winning industry veteran Reks.

“Reks is coming to Jamestown for one night only before launching his next tour, and this is an exclusive opportunity to hear him do some of the tracks off his next album, ‘The Greatest X,'” said Shawn Bingham, who helped coordinate the event as part of his involvement with the group Majik n’ Brrrd, which will also be performing at the show.

In addition to Reks and Majik n’ Brrrd, the lineup will also feature: Jukz; Lil Fwap; C Banga; a live beat battle between Massachusetts acts Melks and Short Fyuz; and local acts Frost, Tri-State Gully and Relly Rell.

“I’m really excited about this show; it’ll be my first time addressing my fans locally since October when I released my last CD ‘Taken For Granted,'” Relly Rell said. “I plan to perform my new single that I did with Jack Preacher, called ‘Good Enough,’ for the first time in Jamestown, and some other tracks off the last album.”

The “Rust Belt Revival” will be emceed by Geo, of Numindz Entertainment, and will be co-hosted by DJ Matic and DJ Bandana Black, from Buffalo’s hip-hop station 93.7 WBLK. The live beat battle will be hosted by local producer G, of House of Notes and Beats by G.

Tickets are on sale now for $10 presale and $12 at the door. VIP area tickets are also available for $25 for attendees 18-and-over, and will include: access to the upper railings above the stage, which will contain most of the available seating in the venue; a free Majik n’ Brrrd T-shirt and CD; a chance to meet and have a photo taken with all acts. VIPs ages 21-and-over will also receive two free drink vouchers.
