Lost Neighborhood Group Discontinues Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Tony Raffa, The Lost Neighborhood Group president, has announced there will be no tree lighting ceremony for the Christmas Tree in Brooklyn Square. He is hopeful city officials will continue to light a tree in Brooklyn Square during the holiday season. The Lost Neighborhood Group will continue to donate money to help pay for the expense.

”At this time, we would like to thank Bill Stevenson, and his crew, along with Tom Franco and many others, too numerous to mention, who have assisted us through the year” Raff said. ”A special thanks to The Salvation Army for allowing us to have our event on their grounds. It has been a pleasure working with their staff and it has been a wonderful and enjoyable experience. We would also like to express our gratitude to Mayor (Sam) Teresi and all of the city of Jamestown officials for supporting our event each and every year Last, but not least, we give a big thank you to all area residents who came to the Lost Neighborhood’s Annual Event and celebrated Christmas with us in our old neighborhood.”
