HANOVER — A woman pulled from a burning vehicle after crashing late Monday is facing drunken driving charges.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies were summoned to the rollover crash at 8:09 p.m. on Dennison Road in Hanover. Upon arrival, deputies learned the driver — identified as 49-year-old Hilary A. Villafranca of Forestville — had lost control of her vehicle and left the road.

The vehicle reportedly entered a ditch, struck a culvert and rolled over. The vehicle caught fire after coming to rest, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

Villafranca was removed from the vehicle by a Good Samaritan and transported to Lakeshore Hospital by Silver Creek firefighters for treatment of minor injuries.

An investigation found that Villafranca was intoxicated. She was issued traffic tickets for driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely, failure to keep right and speed unreasonable.
