CHAUTAUQUA — Two Corry, Pa., residents are facing a host of charges after drugs, cash and a stolen gun were found during a traffic stop.

Deputies took 42-year-old Jerry J. Roneker Jr. and 26-year-old Lyndsey A. Sventek into custody after the stop shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday on Route 430 in the town of Chautauqua.

“Deputies made contact with the vehicle occupants and found subjects attempting to conceal narcotics in plain view,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. “Deputies removed the occupants and investigated further.”

Sventek, a passenger in the vehicle, was reportedly found to have an active warrant out of Crawford County in Pennsylvania. Roneker, who was driving, was allegedly in possession of a loaded handgun found to be stolen from a Warren County, Pa., residence.

A search of the pair’s vehicle turned up 2 ounces of methamphetamine, a large quantity of MDMA and Xanax pills, heroin, scales, packaging materials and over $10,000 cash, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The two were taken into custody and held in Chautauqua County without bail.

Roneker was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, criminally using drug paraphernalia, failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely.

Sventek was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected.
