FALCONER — The Ellicott Police Department is warning the public of recent thefts from two local hair salons.

According to a message on the department’s Facebook page, two thefts occurred at hair salons in the Falconer area within the last two weeks. Police said in each incident, an unknown person went into the salon and removed wallets or purses from behind the counter or in a back room.

“We would like to remind local hair salons and everyone to make sure you are locking up your purses/wallets while at work,” the department said.
