A Jamestown man has been jailed following an investigation into a robbery in January, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said.

Facing a host of charges is 24-year-old Dyquan Smith of East Sixth Street following the Jan. 14 robbery at 10 W. Main St. in Ripley. Another person, Tyler Bowen, also has been charged in the incident, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Criminal Investigation Division obtained new information, and a indictment warrant for Smith was issued. He was charged with four counts of fist-degree robbery, four counts of second-degree robbery and one count of first-degree burglary.

No further information regarding the robbery has been made public. Chautauqua County Sheriff Jim Quattrone said the investigation was ongoing and couldn’t comment further.

Smith was taken into custody by Jamestown police and handed over to sheriff’s deputies. He was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail after bail was set at $250,000 cash, $500,000 property.
