Snow Begins As WNY Under Winter Storm Warning

Snow has already began falling in the Jamestown area as much of Western New York is under a winter storm watch.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo said 10 to 16 inches of snow could fall between 10 a.m. today and 6 p.m. Sunday.

“Travel could be very difficult to impossible,” the Weather Service said. “If you must travel, be prepared for severe winter driving conditions with deep snow cover and very low visibility from heavy snow and blowing snow.”

The heaviest snow is expected to fall between this afternoon and tonight. Wind gusts also could reach 30 mph.
