(3:10 PM) South Dayton Man Charged With Murder After Shooting Son

SOUTH DAYTON — A South Dayton man is facing second-degree murder charges following a reported domestic incident early Saturday.

Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies were called to 206 Mill St. in South Dayton at 2:45 a.m. An investigation found that 73-year-old Richard Tyma Sr. allegedly shot his son, 46-year-old Daniel Tyma, during the incident.

Daniel Tyma also lived at the Mill Street home, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

Richard Tyma was arraigned in South Dayton Town Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail without bail.
