(9:31 AM) Two Charged With Drug Possession Saturday

ELLERY — An investigation into a car that had been driven into a ditch on Saturday in Ellery has led to charges against two area residents.

At 1:46 a.m. Saturday, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to investigate a vehicle in the ditch on Route 430 in Ellery. Prior to deputies’ arrival the vehicle left the scene but was soon found by Deputies on Lenhart Street in the Ellery. The two occupants of the vehicle were identified as Harry J. Radke and Scott A. Eddy.

With the assistance of K-9 Link, deputies reportedly located a quantity of methamphetamine and heroin inside the suspect vehicle. Both Radke and Eddy were charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. Upon further investigation, Radke was found to be the operator of the vehicle and was allegedly impaired by drugs. Radke was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and moving from lane unsafely.

Both Eddy and Radke were taken to the Chautauqua County Jail on pre-arraignment bail and will be in Ellery Town Court later.
