(9:19 AM) Jamestown Woman Charged After Roll-Over Crash Tuesday In Frewsburg

Robin Smith, 45, of Jamestown faces several charges after New York State Police responded to a roll-over accident on Sawmill Run Road in Frewsburg on Tuesday.

Troopers report Smith was the only person in the vehicle and was not injured in the accident. Frewsburg volunteer firefighters got Smith out of the vehicle before troopers administered several field sobriety tests, which Smith reportedly failed. Troopers also report finding morphine and clonazepam, both controlled substances for which Smith did not have a prescription, in the vehicle. Smith was then taken to the State Police at Jamestown barracks, where she allegedly provided a breath sample of .15 percent while Smith’s driving record revealed that she had been convicted of driving while intoxicated within the preceding 10 years. Smith’s license was also revoked for an alcohol-related conviction.

Smith was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container. She was processed and released to be in South Valley Town Court later.
