(11:50 AM) Artone To Manufacture Furniture For DoubleTree Hotel
The Hamister Group has teamed up once again with a local business to provide high-quality room furniture for their guest at the soon-to-be open DoubleTree by Hilton Jamestown.
On Wednesday, officials from the Hamister Group and Artone LLC. met with city officials to discuss the teaming of the hotel development group based in Williamsville and the Jamestown commercial furniture manufacturer, who primarily serves the hospitality market.
Michael Calimeri, Artone president, said he is thrilled to soon have a high-quality hotel like the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Jamestown for when clients come to visit Artone’s manufacturing facility. He said by manufacturing the room furniture for the new hotel along Fourth Street it is helping Artone build a stronger relationship with Hilton to possibly provide other hotel development projects with custom made furniture. He added by saying the furniture will be manufactured at the Artone facility along Allen Street, with 700 to 800 pieces being produced.
“We are completely committed and we want 100 percent high-quality,” Calimeri said.
Mark Hamister, Hamister Group chief executive officer, said it has been a pleasure working with local businesses and city officials through the development phase of the project. He said the hotel will open some time in the next 60 days, plus or minus a couple days.
“We wanted furniture that was American made, made here in Jamestown,” he said. “This is our home as well.”
Dan Hamister, chief investment officer, said the city as a whole has been very welcoming since the Hamister Group purchased the hotel during an online auction in 2013.
“As we came, you had open arms,” he said.
