(10:55 AM) Jamestown Woman Cited In Route 60 Rollover

KIMBALL STAND — A Jamestown resident was cited for speed not reasonable and prudent after she lost control of her sport utility vehicle in the rain while southbound on Route 60, resulting in a rollover crash Wednesday.

At 3:15 p.m. Kirsten Archibald, 32, lost control when she passed another vehicle, according to an accident report released Thursday by the Ellicott Police Department. Striking an embankment caused the rollover, and witnesses reported to fire officials that the vehicle rolled over multiple times. A passenger and two children had complaints of back pain, with two of them being transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment of injuries.

Several ambulances, along with members of the Ellicott Police Department and firefighters from Fluvanna, Gerry and Falconer responded to the scene near Kimball Stand, south of Gerry. A medical helicopter was also placed on standby.
