(10:37 AM) Jamestown Man Charged After Running From Lakewood-Busti Police

A Jamestown man faces charges after running from Lakewood-Busti police officers who were about to serve an arrest warrant on him this morning.

Ross J. Cali Jr., 54, of 3050 Riverside Road, Jamestown, was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree menacing, all from his arrest warrant, and additionally charged with resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration at 6:57 a.m. Monday. According to Lakewood-Busti police, a felony arrest warrant had been issued for Cali for a previous incident. Officers report seeing a vehicle pulling into Cali’s driveway and, as the officer pulled up to check the vehicle, Cali allegedly got out and ran into the woods.

A perimeter was set up and Miro, the Lakewood-Busti Police Department’s K-9 officer, tracked Cali into the woods. Cali was found quickly. Cali was arraigned in Busti Town Court and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 property bond.
