(7 PM) Narcan Administered After Motorist Found Unresponsive
RIPLEY — A North East, Pa., man was administered naloxone after he was found unresponsive in his car last week.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Ripley Fire Department were summoned to Shortman Road in Ripley on Friday around 2 p.m. for a reported overdose victim. Police found 37-year-old Franklin C. Fisher unresponsive in his car when they arrived.
Fisher was found to have overdosed and was administered Narcan, the brand name for naloxone. He was taken to Westfield Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Following an investigation, the Pennsylvania man was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was released to appear in Ripley Town Court at a later date.
