The body recovered from Chautauqua Lake on Monday was that of Timothy Yocum, who went missing on the lake Saturday afternoon.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the discovery after divers found the 47-year-old Falconer man around 2:50 p.m. In a press release, the Sheriff’s Office said no charges were expected in the drowning incident.

Several local agencies, including a half-dozen volunteer fire departments and the county Water Emergency Team, assisted in searching the lake since Yocum’s disappearance. Police believe Yocum may have attempted to go for a swim when he jumped into the lake.

The wide-scale search began Saturday shortly after Yocum went missing and continued all day Sunday and into Monday.
