JAMESTOWN POLICE

• Nicholas J. Cole, 24, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, open container, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and refusal to submit to a chemical test at 11:53 p.m. Saturday. Police report pulling a vehicle over on East Fourth Street for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Cole was reportedly driving. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail without incident and held until he could be arraigned. Cole will be in Jamestown City Court later.

• Christopher L. Cleveland, 44, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possessing a hypodermic needly and second-degree obstructing governmental administration at 3:52 a.m Sunday after police report seeing a man riding a bicycle east on McKinley Avenue on the wrong side of the road with no lights. Officers pulled the bicycle over before Cleveland ran away. Officers caught Cleveland after a short foot pursuit and allegedly found Cleveland in possession of methamphetamine and a hypodemic needle. He also had an outstanding bench warrant from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Dept. Cleveland was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

• SHERMAN — Nancy M. Gibbons, 45, of Westfield was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, DWAI Leandra’s Law, a felony; third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding at 4:01 p.m. Sunday on Route 430 in Chautauqua. Deputies report seeing a vehicle speeding on Route 430 in Chautauqua. Gibbons was allegedly driving while her ability was impaired by drugs with a child in the car. She was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of pre-arraignment bail. A drug recognition expert from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
