Scarf Donation

Elaine Caflisch and Mary Barker are pictured holding one of the wigs offered by Lily’s Hope with a few of the 100 percent silk scarves decorated by members of their painting classes. One of the meetings of the Chautauqua County Society of Artists featured the technique and some of the scarves donated are from that meeting. In addition to scarves painted by Carlisch and Barker, 14 scarves were donated in all. They offered their students a chance to help people who have lost their hair to a medical condition, by donating a scarf for them to paint for Lily’s Hope at their class. Lily’s Hope is located at the Jones Memorial Health Center of the UPMC Chautauqua WCA Cancer Treatment Center on Glasgow Avenue and is sponsored by the Zonta Club of Jamestown.
