Brown Bag Lecture To Feature Church Restoration

The Fenton History Center is continuing its 2018 Brown Bag Lecture Series on Wednesday. The talk will feature Luke Fodor, Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Jamestown, talking about the recent capital campaign by the Church to restore and rehabilitate their beautiful, historic building. From cleaning, repointing, and remortaring the exterior of the building to restoring the wonderful Medina Rose sandstone to remodeling the Undercroft into a modern and functional space, this vital restoration project has helped to ensure that the church will remain vibrant in our community for years to come.

The Brown Bag talk begins promptly at noon at the Fenton History Center, located at 67 Washington St., Jamestown. These lectures are designed so that people from around the area can come in and enjoy them on their lunch break, so food and drink of all varieties are permitted. All Brown Bag lectures are free, though donations are gratefully accepted.

Our Brown Bag Lecture Series features one talk of local historic interest per month, typically on the second Wednesday. For future dates and topics, please check our website at fentonhistorycenter.org or follow us on Facebook.
