Southwestern Schools Art Students Celebrate National Youth Art Month

LAKEWOOD — In celebration of National Art Month, select artwork from Southwestern Central School students will be on display at the Lakewood Memorial Library.

The show includes paintings, drawings, photos and sculptures from students in kindergarten through 12th grades and is coordinated by art teachers Mark Kirsch, Amanda Laurin, Renee Mitchener and Jenny Brown. The work will be displayed from March 2 until March 31, with an opening reception on Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

The Lakewood Memorial Library is located at 12 W. Summit Ave., Lakewood. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
