Seastrum Benefit Set For Saturday

A benefit spaghetti dinner for Mary Seastrum will be held from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the Fluvanna Community Church.

Tickets are $10.

Seastrum is the mother of a current UPS driver who is battling a rare cancer; her insurance is not covering all the costs of her treatments. Seastrum and her husband are both retired and have been raising two grandchildren. Seastrum was a full-time nurse at Heritage Green in Greenhurst until surgery in July 2017 for a cancerous tumor in her neck. The surgery left Seastrum with facial nerve damage that has spread to both lungs.

In addition to the dinner, there will be a bake sale, door prizes, face painting, music, a Chinese auction, 50/50 giveaways and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.

Donations are being accepted. For more information, call or text Amy Jo at 485-1855 or Beth at 244-2760.
