Interclub Woman Of The Year Banquet Is Monday
The Jamestown Interclub Council will hold its annual Woman of the Year banquet on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Marvin House.
Russell E. Diethrick, Jr. will make the surprise presentation. The members of the Marvin Community House will host the event. For reservations, call the Marvin House at 488-6206. Banquet tickets are $28.
The selection of Woman of the Year was delegated to the following panel: Ruth Lundin, president of Audubon Community Nature Center, Megan Sorenson, associate director of the Chautauqua Fund and foundation communications manager, and Chloe Smith, associate pastor of Zion Tabernacle Church.
The Jamestown Interclub Council began in 1956, with the objective to sponsor various activities geared toward the advancement of community interest, and activities that can be accomplished through a united action. Currently the Jamestown Interclub Council consists of 15 women’s groups. Along with the Marvin Community House, other member organizations are: Allen Park Women’s Club, American Association of University Women, Bemus Point Study Club, Chautauqua Shores Chorus, Creche, Daughters of the American Revolution, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Norden Women’s Club, Preceptor Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Women’s Club of Lakewood, Southern Tier Legal Secretaries, YWCA of Jamestown and the Zonta Club of Jamestown.
