Falconer Public Library To Showcase Photography Exhibit
FALCONER — The Falconer Public Library will host the Don Armstrong Photography Exhibit during the months of March and April.
Armstrong, a lifelong resident of Western New York, spent his early years in Randolph. He has won several awards for his photography, and also has the honor of having a photo in one of the Roger Tory Peterson Field Guides. Armstrong and his wife, Betty, have raised their children in Falconer and have resided in the area for 50 years.
In the 1940s, there were few photographs of his family. He vowed he was going to take photos of his own family as they were growing up. As he retired from working, photography became his passion. He prefers landscapes and nature subjects over city and urban style.
He belongs to two local photo clubs: Jamestown Audubon and the Chautauqua County Camera Club.
