CWC To Host Campfire Gathering Friday
The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will host a dusk snowshoe/ski and campfire gathering at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the conservancy’s Cassadaga Creek Preserve on Bloomer Road in Sinclairville.
A conservancy guide will lead an evening tour of the 150-acre preserve. The route will be flat and is 2.5 miles. Those who can’t snowshoe or hike can socialize by the bonfire at the entrance to the preserve. After the tour, all are invited to stay to warm up by the fire. S’mores, coffee and cocoa will be provided. Those attending are invited to bring a dish or snack to pass.
Those attending should bring a headlamp or flashlight. If there is no snow for the tour, a shorter hike will be offered and the bonfire will go on as planned. The event is free for Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy members, with a suggested donation of $5 for non-members. Reservations are encouraged by calling the conservancy at 664-2166 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Fpr more information, visit chautauquawatershed.org.
