Jamestown Interclub Council Elects Three Officers

At their fall meeting, the Jamestown Interclub Council elected Beth Oakes and Juanita Jackson co-presidents and Marcia Bliss as secretary-treasurer.

The Jamestown Interclub Council began in 1956, with the objective to sponsor various activities geared toward the advancement of community interest, and activities that can be accomplished through a united action. Currently Jamestown Interclub Council consists of 15 women’s groups.

Member organizations are the Allen Park Women’s Club, American Association of University Women, Bemus Point Study Club, Chautauqua Shores Chorus, Creche, Daughters of the American Revolution, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Marvin Community House, Norden Women’s Club, Preceptor Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Southern Tier Legal Secretaries, Women’s Club of Lakewood, YWCA of Jamestown and Zonta Club of Jamestown.

On March 26, the Jamestown Interclub Council will announce the Woman of the Year at the Marvin House. Russell E. Diethrick Jr. will make the surprise presentation.
