Auxillary Donates Water Suits To Dewittville Fire Department

The Dewittville Fire Department Auxillary recently presented the fire department with two new Mustang ice water entry suits. The suits will be worn by members for cold or ice water rescue. The suits, according to Chief Burl Swanson, help keep firefighters warm and dry during rescues. “In this day of fewer auxiliaries, ours has continued to be a shining star in our community,” Swanson said. The suits will replace a pair that are 14 years old, “giving us the latest protection to aid those who have gone through the ice or fallen into cold water,” Swanson continued. “The Dewittville Fire Department is truly blessed to have our fire auxillary.” Pictured are Michele Kesby; Auxillary President Dolly Gilbert; Swanson; Jason Donato, first assistant fire chief; Danette Doud; Carmen Walters; Don Emhardt, second assistant fire chief.
