Westfield School To Present Musical

WESTFIELD — The musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber will be presented Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Westfield Academy and Central School.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. As well, in order to commemorate Veterans’ Day, any veteran is also entitled to the $5 ticket price. The musical tells the story of Joseph and his brothers as they deal with jealousy, imprisonment and finally find themselves in the court of the Egyptian Pharaoh. “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” is family friendly with musical styles ranging from 1950s rock, ballads, calypso country including a square dance.

The production features a cast of 40 high school students as well as a childrens’ choir of 50 children. Featured in the show are Luke Stephenson as Joseph, Kailyn Gatto, Brittany Whitcomb, Jasmine Kiswani, Ania Nichols, Kayla Nichols and Sarah Tilley as the narrators, Bradley Belmondo as the Pharaoh, Brock Schuster and Colby Bills, sharing the role of Judah, Austin Bourgeois and Tyler Miles sharing the role of Simeon and Austin Presto as Reuben.

The show is directed by Kent Knappenberger.
