Sherman Theta Beta Chapter To Meet Friday

SHERMAN — The Sherman Theta Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi celebrated its annual birthday with a dinner and Secret Sister revealing at the Stedman Corners Cafe recently.

After a meal, Diane Brosius presented her program on “Famous Women.” Mrs. Brosius read from the book, “Uppity Women,” about women who spoke their minds, often at great personal cost.

Nancy Palmer, chapter president, conducted a short business meeting. Service projects were discussed. The chapter visited the Sherman North Haven Apartments on Nov. 4 to provide coffee and donuts and entertainment to the residents. During the next meeting Friday, the group will visit the Mayville Senior Apartments to entertain and to provide food and refreshments to the seniors there. Following the business meeting, the members exchanged gifts with their Secret Sisters and drew new names for the coming year.
