Board Of Public Utilities Hot Dog Sale Set For June 1

The 2017 Jamestown Board of Public Utilities “Cents for St. Susan’s” hot dog sale is set for 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, in front of the BPU Customer Service Office, 92 Steele St., Jamestown. The Jamestown Post Journal is a media sponsor of the Cents for St. Susan’s fund drive. Pictured are BPU employees Marvin Davis and Mike Brown grilling hot dogs at last year’s sale.

The smell of grilled hot dogs will fill the air from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1, outside the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities’ Customer Service Office, 92 Steele St., Jamestown.

BPU and St. Susan Center volunteers will sell hot dogs and sodas to benefit the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) “Cents for St. Susan’s” fund drive. The utility raises money for St. Susan Center at this time each year to help provide meals in spring and summer.

The public also may bring empty redeemable cans and bottles to the sale to provide more “cents” for the soup kitchen.

During the fund drive (through July 5), redeemable cans and bottles also may be taken to BPU Customer Service, 92 Steele Street, to benefit St. Susan Center.

For questions regarding the drive, call Becky Robbins, BPU communications coordinator, at 661-1680.
