Kiwanis Club To Host Chicken Dinner Sunday

LAKEWOOD — Brookdale Lakewood and the Jamestown Kiwanis Club will hold a chicken and biscuits dinner on Sunday, March 26, from noon to 3 p.m. at Brookdale Lakewood, 220 Southwestern Drive, Lakewood.

Chef Mark Bittler is preparing the dinner, which will include pulled roasted chicken in chicken gravy served over freshly homemade baked biscuits complemented with the following sides: mashed potatoes, freshly picked peas and carrots and applesauce. Each meal will be individually served with a chocolate ganache cupcake for dessert.

Discounted presale tickets are $7 for an adult dinner and $5 for a child under 14. There are three seatings: noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Reservations for seating are required and it is recommended to call early to ensure availability. To order tickets and reserve seating time, call Brookdale at 665-2414. Prices at the door will be $8 for an adult dinner and $6 for a child under 14.

The proceeds will benefit the Jamestown High School Key Club and the sensory-friendly movie series at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts.
